Other Practical Information
Admission
Visits to the memorial and exhibitions are free of charge. A guided tour costs 7 Euro (adults) or 3 Euro (reduced). Fees also apply for the use of educational offerings for groups and for the rental of multimedia guides.
App
To enable visitors to tour the grounds of the former camp independently, our "Mittelbau" app (free download available from the Apple Store) provides historical information, photos, and eyewitness accounts. Visitors can also use the app to explore the permanent exhibition. These self-guided tours are available in German, English, French, and Dutch.
Please make sure to download the app to your smartphone prior to your visit and to bring your own headphones. Please note: Unfortunately, the app is currently no longer available in the Google Play Store.
Alternatively, you can borrow the multimedia guide from Visitor Information at the memorial. Price per person: 5 Euro.
Visiting with Children
We recommend visiting the museum, the tunnel complex, and the former crematorium only with children who are in 9th grade and older.
Visiting with Dogs
Dogs are not allowed on the grounds of the former inmates' camp or in the buildings (except guide dogs for the blind and assistance dogs with identifying dog jackets). Beyond these areas, dogs are permitted on a lead.
Visiting the Tunnels
The tunnels can only be visited as part of a guided tour. See here for more information.

Filming and taking photographs are permitted for private purposes on the grounds of the Mittelbau-Dora Memorial. To publish videos and photos (also on the Internet, for example on Facebook), you must obtain a photo and filming permit.
